Bushbury Methodist Church (Wesleyan)
Known better as Shaw Road Methodist Church

Built on land which used to be the Electrical Construction Companies (E.C.C.) canteen. Date believed to be 1903. (Baptisms recorded from 1904 to 1977)

Three brothers, by the name of Swain, who worked for the E.C.C. were the founders of the above church and served there many years. Being the only church in the Bushbury and Fordhouses area this church, was originally well attended, many of the congregation being railway employees of the G.W.R.

The land on which it stood is now a bowling alley.
